
Course Outline
This is a 4 day, 40 hour POST certified course that certifies new and existing instructors with the knowledge and skill to train officers within their agency. Instructors will receive training on several topics from instructors with years of law enforcement and competitive shooting experience. Instructors pressure test the material in competitive shooting to make sure students are staying up to date on the most current training curriculum.

- Malfunctions
- Engagement speed based on target distance
- Weapon manipulation
- Weapon transitions
- Moving in and out of positions
- Shooting in and around cover/concealment
- Low light training
- Shooting on the move
- Drills to focus on targeted training requirements
- Lesson planning
- Student to student teach-back
Equipment Required
- Department approved or issued duty handgun with minimum three magazines
- Duty belt
- Load bearing vest or under worn body armor
- Department approved or issued rifle with minimum three magazines
- Rifle sling
- Eye and ear protection
- 2 glow sticks (chem lights)
- Flashlight (handheld)
- Weapon mounted light for rifle
- Not necessary but preferred, weapon mounted light for pistol
- Extra batteries
- Ammunition
- 1500 handgun rounds
- 1000 rifle rounds
- Proper apparel – we train rain or shine
- Flashlight
- Sunscreen, snacks, water, etc….
- Handgun/rifle cleaning equipment
